Tammera Donovan wrote this book after having been a North Carolina-permitted fawn rehabilitator. She has told the heartfelt tale of the fawn named Marteen in two ways: one in which the family made the decision to keep the fawn and the second when the family decided to take the fawn back to where they found him.
