City of Mines

Victor, Colorado -- the City of Mines - came into life in the early 1890s when a prospector who had searched for gold for 19 years finally hit pay dirt. The surrounding strip of land just 10 x 6 miles offered up an extraordinary geological bonanza. The gold and the prospectors are now long gone, but Victor still echoes this history.
