StadtQuartier Riem Arcaden München - English Version

On the ground of the former central airport of Munich-Riem in the east of the Bavarian capital was constructed the exhibition centre Riem. In 2006 it hosted the German Horticultural Show. Today it presents itself with multifunctional uses which are to guarantee an urbanistic sustainability. The complex won the German Städtebaupreis in 2006.
The StadtQuartier Riem Arcaden at the Willy-Brandt-Platz is the commercial centre and the heart of the exhibition centre Riem. The place is framed by two complexes of buildings, which form a fascinating architectural ensemble: A hotel- und office building from the architects Allmann Sattler Wappner and a complex with shopping centre, offices and apartments from the architects nps tchoban voss.
