Excerpt from An Address Delivered at the Ordination of the Rev. William Newell: As Pastor of the First Parish in Cambridge, May 19, 1830

This is a duty which they owe to him, to them selves, and to their God. Divine Providence has favored them with the means of moral and religious improvement in the ministration of the word and ordinances of the Gospel.
