Teen pregnancy is a facet of American life which has been evaluated from the outside in for decades. This book project seeks to better understand the lives of teenaged mothers by contextualizing their experiences both local and societal. This information is then synthesized into a therapeutic intervention for this population. This book describes the group therapy intervention planned for a group of rural teenaged mothers, their responses, and its potential future applications.

About the author










Megan Turchetti, PsyD, believes that as a psychologist she has two main responsibilities towards her clients and my community. First, she must be present and open so that she may take in the reality of the lives around her. Second, she must disseminate findings from the psychological community into effective treatments.
