Excerpt from Plumpton Correspondence: A Series of Letters, Chiefly Domestick, Written in the Reigns of Edward IV, Richard III, Henry VII, and Henry VIII
The Manuscript is a small folio volume on paper, and has suffered considerably in the lapse of two centuries from neglect or ill-usage, several pages, besides the cover of thin leather at the back, being at the present time torn away at the beginning of the volume, and at the end. When entire it contained three distinct series of Letters, formed of the-several Correspondence. Of Sir, William Plumpton, who died 20 Edw. IV. 1480; of his son Sir Robert, who died 15 Hen. VIII. 1523; and of other members.
