Applicability of Green Building Practices in Construction Projects

The work synthesized an in-depth exploration of negative impact of building to the environment and the benefits of green building practices.Raising awareness of sustainable building among construction professionals in construction projects has been linked to a better understanding of the goals of green or sustainable development. The practice should be embraced not only because of its humanity concern and environmental legislation but also because of its capability to increase financial profit and long term competitiveness.

About the author

David Nduka is a Lecturer at the Department of Building Technology, College of Environmental Sciences, Bells University of Technology Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria. He holds B.Sc. (Hons) in Building and M.Sc. in Construction Technology from University of Lagos, Nigeria and his main research interest is in the Sustainability of the Built Environment.
