Synthesis of some Important Heterocyclic Compounds via CT Interactions

Synthesis of new heterocyclic compounds by using linear compounds as electron donors and some pi-deficient compounds. The four compounds used as electron donors are: 1-acetylthiosemicarbazide; 1-benzoyl-thiosemicarbazide; 1-(4-hydroxyphenyl)thiosemicarbazide; 1-(4-bromo-phenylaceto)thiosemicarbazide. The pi-deficient compounds, used are: ethenetetracarbonitrile TCNE; (1,3-dioxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-2-ylidene)propanedinitrile CNIND; 3-(dicyano-methylene)-2-indolone; 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane TCNQ; 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-1,4-benzoquinone DDQ; 2,3,5,6-tetrachloro-1,4-benzoqinone CHL; 2,3-dichloro-1,4-naphthoquinone DCHNQ; 2,3-dicyano-1,4-naphthoqinone DCNQ.

Ashraf H. Abou-Zied was born in 1975 in Minia, Egypt, He obtained a B.Sc in 1998, a M.Sc in 2004, and Ph.D (Organic Synthesis) in 2008 form Chemistery Department, minia University, He is Ass. Prof. of Organic Chemistry at Faculty of Science, Omar El-Mukhtar University. The research is focusing on Design and Syntheses of new bioactive molecules.
