Mentoring as an instrument for women's advancement in the workplace has become more and more common. The concept of receiving the support of a more experienced and older person is an ancient concept. The study is based on the assumption that mentoring can be used as a tool to increase the number of women in management positions. The goal of this study was to discover how female mentees experience their role and how they perceive the effects mentoring has on them on a personal and professional level. Another aim was to identify how successful mentoring is perceived by female mentees and what we can deduce for future formal mentoring programs.
