In the hope of making that bibliography more widely and more permanently useful, the scope of the work has been greatly extended, and an effort has been made to include in it a description of every publication which has in ¿uenced noticeably the popular or the scholarly conceptions of John and Sebastian Cabot, or which is likely to prove useful to those who wish to Study the careers of the Cabots and their contemporaries.
