It is to be noted that the above totals contain no revision of the figures given prior to 1902 for the manuscripts, maps, music, and prints. The sorting of the old material is still in progress. With an incessant interchange of articles among the several divisions of the Library, while the constant loss by consolidation in binding renders an itemized statement even now very difficult.
