The rapid pace of globalization over the last few decades has added new dimensions to the evolvement of the concept of Social Business in the context of the market economy. Since capitalism triumphs in the west and fails everywhere else, the need for an alternative business model has become increasingly apparent. Hence, Social Business is a new dimension for capitalism as an approach for harnessing the strength of profit-making through the objective of fulfilling human needs and creating self-supporting, viable commercial enterprises that generate economic growth even as it produces goods and services that make the world a better place. This business investment will enrich the productivity of the nations through education, employment-creation, poverty-reduction, transparency and so on.
