Excerpt from The Mediator: A Study of the Central Doctrine of the Christian Faith
The first edition of Der Mittler appeared in 1927; the second edition (unaltered) was published in 1932. The present trans lation has been made from the text of the second edition. The author has read the typescript and has made several valuable criticisms. In a few instances, at his suggestion, some slight alterations and corrections have been introduced into the text. The note on page 276 has been abbreviated.
