The Girl.
The Boy.
The Stranger.
Zan, the Prince of the North, who has come to the Kingdom of Altruria with mighty battle-ships.
Wim, the Prince of the East, who has come to the Kingdom of Altruria with fleet horses.
Bal, the Prince of the South, who has come to the Kingdom of Altruria with a great army on foot.
Thorl, the Prince of the West, who has come to the Kingdom of Altruria with air-ships.
The Spirit of Childhood, who is a Fairy.
The Rose-Fairies.
The Tear-Fairies.
The Rainbow-Fairies.
The Queen of Altruria.
There is also at the beginning and end of the play a Butterfly, but because it is a fairy butterfly it is visible only to those who truly believe in fairies. The others may call it Illusion.
The Stranger and the Queen of Altruria are played by the same person.
The scene of the play is laid on the Roadway outside of the Kingdom of Altruria.
The time of the play is now.
Time of Playing. - One hour.
This play was awarded a prize in a play contest of the Buffalo, N. Y., Chapter of the Drama League, in 1917.
