Notwithstanding the space saved by doing away with question and answer, this edition is more than a hundred and fifty pages longer than the preceding one. The added matter contains its share of the sort of repeti tions that were confessed, and I hope justified, in the preface to the first edition. Most of it relates to the labor question socialism and municipal trading, and will be found principally in Chapters XIX - XXII, and XXVIII - XXX.
