I truly believe in the Community College because it is where I started. Which, I am fortunate to have been employed in the community college for 30 years. My employment with the community college introduced me to many students, faculty, administrators and staff with tremendous courage, sacrifice and goals. The primary purpose of this study was to explore the perceptions of current African American administrators that have lived through the election of the first African American President of the United States of America and determine if that historical event has influenced the career path of African American administrators.
