Even our religion has suffered a change. The stern mo rality and unbending creeds of other days have become pliant and yielding, while compromise and emasculated beliefs have taken their place. The Old doctrines familiar to the bye - gone pul pit now offend us, though we are not particular if the preacher resorts to irreverence and slang On the contrary, we rather encourage him in this propensity.
