Internet as the network of networks, occupied a very prominent role in the world communication order. It started facilitating communication of all types of information and for various purposes. It is a well known fact that Internet is used not only as a communication tool or a communication facilitator but for business activities or transactions, gaming, entertainment, education and research purposes. There is a proliferation of databases dealing with factual data, bibliographic data and full-text (databases) that are available on the Net that are facilitating the learners/researchers in their teaching, learning and research activities. It almost seems to be that Internet proves to be a panacea for meeting the information needs of the students and researchers that was almost a very difficult situation during the pre-Internet era. But, are the researchers and students using these facilities like Internet based resources that libraries are extending to assist faculty and research scholars in doing research, is a researchable question?
