How Inlet Pressure Loss impacts on Power and Efficiency of a Micro GasTurbine? Through the implementation of tests on an fully equipped test bench and the development of an simple but powerful theorethical model,the answer to this question has been given. Furthermore final results have quantitatively shown that, due to scale effects, ROVER 1S/60 micro gas turbine, reacts differently than the biggest size ones do. Tests and calculations have been carried out at the Institut for Energy and Thermodinamic systems at Technical University of Wien.

Gherardo Q.R was born on Jan 18th 1988 in Milan. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. During his final master Thesis project at Technische Universitat Wien, he focused his attention on jet engines and small micro gas turbines, giving his contribute in improving the understanding of complex Turbomachine behavior.
