Poultry has influenced man's civilization in many ways. Egg and meat of birds, there is no other single food of animal origin, which is eaten and relished by so many people in the world and one is served in such a variety of ways. Today, Poultry farming has become a subsidiary occupation particularly in the developing countries, through generation of additional income for many households. The main intension of this book is to find supply of chicks, quality of feed, finance, development of research for better control of diseases, there are several problems which are experienced by the poultry units. The Present book is aimed to examine the problems in the working of poultry units and to suggest appropriate policy measures for effective growth of poultry industry. This book is more useful to poultry farmers and researchers. I do not know to what extent I have been succeeded in my attempt, but I feel this book is more useful to the required.

Dr.G.Malyadri is Doctorate in Commerce from S.V.University. He is currently working as Associate Professor in SITAMS. He wrote 4 dozens of Research papers in reputed and refereed national and international journals related to Management, Finance, Human resource and Marketing.
