Aimer sans dévorer

L'anesthésie affective et l'enfermement sont des expériences beaucoup plus communes qu'on ne veut bien l'avouer. Car, pour la plupart, nous ne croyons pas - ou plus - à la possibilité d'un amour véritable, vivant, puissant sans être dévorant. Et ce n'est pas l'idéologie de l'amour telle que l'a enseignée un certain christianisme qui peut nous être d'un quelconque secours : elle nous emprisonne au contraire dans une relation mortifère.
Lytta Basset nous montre qu'il existe pourtant en chaque personne une étonnante réceptivité à l'amour, prête à s'épanouir dès lors que l'on consent à accueillir le manque comme une bénédiction. L'amour qui se sait indigent laisse la place à un « souffle de vérité » qui déstabilise, mais pour venir à bout des confusions, blocages et ressentiments. Il mène alors à la découverte d'une « part de feu » dont on ne savait rien. Ce feu, ce souffle qui traversent tout être humain sont ceux dont parle l'Évangile. Nous sommes invités à nous y exposer, hors de toute contrainte sociale, morale ou religieuse, pour accéder à des relations affectives fécondes.
