Power Loss Reduction & Improvement in Voltage Profile of 11kV Feeder

The present book/study is an attempt to reduce the power loss and to improve the voltage profile on an existing 11 kV feeder by implementing different techniques using Mipower software. For performing the simulation work data of an existing 11 kV feeder (Aggarwal feeder) of industrial area Kapurthala, is considered. With the application of different techniques on this feeder it is observed that the power losses are reduced from 8.58% to 1.596% and voltage profile of the feeder is also improved.

Dr. Sudhir Sharma was born on April 10, 1973.He received the Ph.D. in faculty of Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra. His areas of interest are Power Quality, Wind Generation, Induction generators artificial intelligence and power systems.
