A study done on Prevalence of Grip Strength in Geriatric Population living in Dehradun,Uttrakhand,India. As we know trapezitis is an inflammation of trapezius muscle which involve myofascial pain syndrome, that can be commonly encountered in clinical practice.The prevalence of this syndrome has increased dramatically in recent years and is foremost among the causes of musculoskeletal pain.Grip strength is recommended as a 'good simple measure' of muscle strength . Grip strength may be a marker of physical activity, which itself preserves function and prevents disability. The aim of this study was to describe grip strength, and its cross-sectional associations with clinical characteristics, among older men and women suffering from trapezitis.
