Sports can be seen as a vehicle to improve people's position and outlook on life for generations. I personally witnessed how my secondary schoolmates used sports to advance themselves. Only then I realised how sports can effect change in individuals and communities by extension. There are many benefits from participating in a sporting activity. This research explored the potential effects of community sport programmes on different individuals and their personal development. Special interest groups like the most vulnerable, the differently disabled, those at risk and minorities within different communities in London were targeted with these sporting schemes. The journey was enjoyable, insightful, heartbreaking and quite a learning experience.
