This book gives an overview of Fiber Bragg gratings and specially on sampled gratings which are used in WDM transmission links. In this document, several methods for channel's densification are presented. We focus also on channel's tunability by applying strain and temperature effects. Finally, multiplexeurs and demultiplexers based on uniform Bragg gratings are presented and analyzed at the end of this manuscript.

Dr. Fethallah Karim occupies an associate professor post at Aboubekr Belkaid University of Tlemcen. He is an active researcher at Laboratory of Telecommunications with the photonic research team. His research area includes optical filters design and switching devices optimization for high data rates optical links.
