The Niger Delta area of Nigeria has become a crisis-ridden region tor nearly fifty years. The grievances of the people of the Niger Delta is as a result of the environmental damage of the region by oil exploration and exploitation. The work therefore examined the objective and significance for military intervention in the crisis and also tested hypotheses supporting the justification or otherwise of military involvement in conflicts management. The methodology adopted for this study was the survey of a combination of primary and secondary materials with the use of questionnaire and oral interview in the collection of the necessary data. This study was organized and structured into six chapters.
