Neuseelands Pop-Meister und Crowded House-Sänger Neil Finn mit seinem dritten Solo-Album! Produktinfo: Auckland die Veröffentlichung seines neuen Albums "Dizzy Heights" angekündigt, das auf Lester Records via Kobalt Label Services (KLS) erscheinen wird. Das Album ist Finns drittes Solo-Album nach "Try Whistling This" (1998) und "One Nil (2001)", aufgenommen hat er es unter der Ägide von Produzent Dave Fridmann (Mercury Rev, The Flaming Lips, Tame Impala) im Tarbox Road Studio in New York sowie in seinem eigenen Roundhead-Studio in Auckland in der Zusammenarbeit mit den neuseeländischen Musikern Connan Mockasin und SJD. "I didn't want to make it a solo record in a stripped back singer-songwriter sort of way", so Finn über sein neues Album. "I had a feeling Dave would be good at adding some odd shapes to the music. Which I always welcome - making things a little more expansive. He is good at subverting things, and making things sound a bit messed up and not as obvious, rather than being too tasteful, which is always a temptation."
