The concept of polymerizing fine monomer droplets in an aqueous suspension seems to have been developed around logo. This approach was motivated by the observation that native rubbers occurs in the form of lattice from polymerizations in plants which occurs under relatively mild conditions in an aqueous phases. The protective collodials patents acts as suspension stabilizers and the reaction was catalyzed by the presence of small amount of oxygen. The first suspension resin prepared on a commercial scale was polyvinyl chloro acetate. Controlling the coalescence of polymeric globules was one of the major technical accomplishments leading to a successful process. This process producing commercially important polymers including acrylic esters, met acrylic asters, styrene & vinyl chloride
