Urban and rural interaction is very dynamic in a rural dominated economy like Bangladesh. The study focused on three sectors: Flow of goods, flow of people in terms of migration/commuters and transportation to find out how and in what extent they are linked. It also searched the answer of the question: if the rural areas can extract maximum benefits from the city or if the city is getting maximum incentives or giving maximum services to its rural population in south west part of Bangladesh. A model has been developed to find the complex interactions between cities and rural areas based on some criteria. The book offers a very good academic research outcome to share with other scholars who are working in this same academic field.
