Although there are several texts on Corporate Law in East Africa, none has given the Kenyan perspective the requisite in depth and authoritative treatment. Critical areas such as meetings, mergers, reconstructions, schemes of arrangement, auditing and insider trading are dealt with perfunctorily.More importantly, insignificant attempts have been made to incorporate judicial authority in the body of the texts. This text fills this lacuna. It interrogates both traditional and nascent areas of Corporate Law by examining the subject in a comprehensive, understandable, interesting and intellectually stimulating manner.Every topic of current importance is examined and principles are exemplified with relevant judicial authority. Practicing advocates, managers, trainers and students of Accounting, Company Secretarial and Law who need a readable account of Corporate Law will find the text an invaluable study and reference tool.
