Some locally available poultry feed ingredients in northern Ethiopia were analyzed for their nutrient content. The ingredients were used to formulate balanced broiler rations for the study. The study compared the difference in production performance and profitability of poultry meat production using completely commercial ration and locally formulated ration. Therefore, farmers, commercial poultry producers, researchers, and policy makers can be the potential beneficiaries of the output of this study. Farmers and commercial poultry producers can utilize the output for maximizing their profit. Researchers can use it for further studies.

About the author










Graduated his BSc degree from Jimma University, Ambo Collage, Ethiopia in 2006 and his MSc degree from University of Bonn, Germany in 2012. Currently, he is working as a lecturer in Mekelle University, in the department of Animal, Rangeland and Wildlife Sciences. He is working in the University since August 2006.
