Ontology-Based Service Identification - From Riva-based BPA to SOA Candidate Software Services

This book describes the development of a new framework, the BPAOntoSOA framework, which aims to semantically identify candidate software services from business process architectures. The research in this book is an attempt to bridge the business-to-IT gap, to increase the business agility, and to pave the way for other ontologies whose intent is to model a SOA-based application to help in a later phase to address the activities required for requirement analysis, collaboration analysis, workflow analysis, and system specification.

About the author

Assistant professor in the University of Jordan. Research interests are mainly in requirements engineering, ontologies and semantic representations, knowledge engineering, business process architectures and business process models.
