The recent uprisings in Northern African countries took by surprised all European member states and probably the entire world. About the author










Damien Ruggeri is a young postgraduate student with a strong background in human rights and migration issues. In 2012, he graduated at the Institut Européen-European Institute with distinction, writing this master's thesis. Since then, he has written another master's thesis on human trafficking in Europe at the European Inter-University Centre.
