Proceedings of the 2nd RapidMiner Community Meeting and Conference (RCOMM 2011)

Welcome to the Second RapidMiner Community Meeting and Conference in Dublin, Ireland. After the first RapidMiner conference held in Dortmund in September 2010, we moved the conference to mid June in 2011 due to collisions with other events.

Despite of this resulting in a reduced preparation period, we received many excellent contributions again and selected fourteen for presentation during the conference and for publication in these proceedings. As in 2010, submissions cover a wide range of topics, including machine learning, applications and use cases, and architecture. During the conference, various new RapidMiner extensions will be presented. Even manuscripts utilizing the new data mining server RapidAnalytics were submitted, which we were particularly pleased to see since only little more than three months lay between the public release of its first version and the paper submission deadline.
