A survey was conducted in Chiwang VDC of Rukum district during May, 2014 to assess the socioeconomic status and gender analysis of seed producers. For the study, 60 households were selected by using simple random sampling. Data were collected from pre-tested questionnaire by using face to face interview schedule. Among 60 surveyed household there were 43.3 percent seed producers and 56.7 percent non- producers and a comparative study was conducted between them. Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS) software was used for data entry and data analysis. Findings of the study revealed that average family size of households was 5.6 and it was found more in seed producing households (6.25). Dependency ratio was found more in non-seed producing households (0.758)

The author was born at Chitwan.He has obtained his B.Sc.Ag Degree from Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science,Rampur under Tribhuwan University in 2014 A.D. He is currently enrolled in MSc.Ag(soil science) in Faculty of Agriculture under Agriculture and Forestry University,Nepal.
