Additional text

“Forgive us: we’re having difficulty curbing our enthusiasm about this.”—Time

“Every word out of [Larry David’s] mouth is funny . . . Instead of sticking to a conventionally constructed plot, this Fish swims from one comic situation to another.”—Variety

“You don’t need to be a fan of David’s hit TV series to appreciate zingers, which come laced with cultural clichés . . . These are just people, often very obnoxious people, lurching through lives and oddball dilemmas.”&mdashNew York Daily News (4 stars)

“[Fish in the Dark] is no four-person, politically correct, plotless amusement, like so many comedies today, but a large ensemble piece with eighteen speaking roles, a perfect second-act twist, and a solid last-minute kicker . . . David’s humor is observational, questioning meaning and motives in the abstract.”—Vulture

Fish in the Dark may be new but its comic ingredients are classically aged . . . A night of huge, rolling laughs.”—Time Out (4 stars)
