Godwin formou-se em Gestão da Informação pela UWC, África do Sul, em 2013, e possui diploma em Educação pela Universidade do Zimbábue. Godwin lecionou em várias escolas no Zimbábue e na Cidade do Cabo. De 2008 a 2009 (março), trabalhou no Centro de Suporte Técnico da HP na Cidade do Cabo. Posteriormente, ingressou no College of Cape Town, uma faculdade FET na Província do Cabo Ocidental.
