Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Global reports 2012 have shown that the number of vasectomy operations being performed has decreased in number! Medical officials have voiced out that the findings are very disappointing. Meanwhile, researchers have mentioned that the decline might be one reason for a recent increase in abortion rates among older women - a 10% rise between 2001 and 2011. The link between vasectomy rates and the number of abortions for older women is also seen in France where relatively few vasectomies are done but abortions for older women are more common. On the other hand, in the United Kingdom, the abortion rate was 9.1 per 1,000 women aged 30 to 44 in 2001 and it is 10 per 1,000 in 2011-2012. Official statistics have recorded 15, 106 surgeries (vasectomy) in 2011-2012 while 37, 700 cases of vasectomies have been registered in 2001-2002. However, some researchers have stated that there is some hope that the declining number is far from being reliable since the statistics exclude the vasectomies which were carried out at private clinics...
