About the author

Lutz Ackermann obtained his Ph.D. in the group of Alois Fürstner at the Max-Plank-Institut für Kohlenforschung in Mülheim, Germany. After a postdoctoral stay with Robert G. Bergman at the University of California at Berkeley, USA, he initiated his independent career at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. His recent awards include an Emmy Noether `Junior Research Group from the DFG, a DuPont Center for Collaborative Research&Education Grant, a Thieme journal-award, and an ORCHEM-Price from the GDCh.
