In this book the author assesses the impact of the integration of HIV/AIDS services into primary health care on HIV prevalence and the delivery of HIV/AIDS services in Mozambique. The book reports findings of a study conducted by the author which provide statistical hinges to the qualitative findings of an earlier study by Pfeiffer and others on the same theme. Having used data from 43 Sub-Saharan African countries collected on a number of variables over a period of 8 years (2002 - 2009), the author applied correlations, regressions and factor analysis to analyse the data. The findings show that the integration of HIV/AIDS services into Primary Health Care has substantially contributed to the reduction in the HIV prevalence rate in Mozambique. He concludes by projecting some possible policy actions to maximize any perceived benefits of the integration program in Mozambique and other countries in similar situations.
