This book describes the synthesis of 2-(phenoxyl-4')-4"-1,5-benzodiazepino, 1,5-benzothiazepino, and 1,5-benzoxazepino incorporated analogues of 1,4-benzodiazepines 5.104-5.109 from the corresponding dimethylaminomethylene ketone and chalcone derivatives 5.099-5.103 following the strategies depicted in schemes 5.29-5.34 respectively. The structures of all compounds have been established by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and MS spectral data.

Dr. Navjeet Kaur was born in Punjab. She received her BSc. degree in Chemistry from Punjab University, Punjab, India (2008), MSc. degree in Organic Chemistry at Banasthali University, Rajasthan, India (2010) and obtained her PhD. degree in 2013 from Banasthali University, Rajasthan, India. She is an Assistant Professor in Banasthali University.
