Informationen zum Autor Klaus H. Carl is the author of numerous works on the history of great cities, and is also a well-known photographer of flora and fauna. A teacher by profession, he is currently devoting himself to a monumental History of Art. Victoria Charles received her Ph.D in art history. She has published extensively on art history and contributed to Art Information, an international guide to contemporary art. She is also a regular contributor to journals and magazines Klappentext Universally celebrated for his rosy and concupiscent nudes, Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640) was an artist whose first concern was sensuality in all its forms. This Baroque master devoted himself to a lifelong celebration of the joys and wonders of the physical realm. He felt that the human body was as lovely and natural as the many natural landscapes he painted as a young man.
