A teacher by profession, he is currently devoting himself to a monumental History of Art. Victoria Charles received her Ph.D in art history. She has published extensively on art history and contributed to Art Information, an international guide to contemporary art. In step with his life, his last years were synonymous with self-denial for the benefit of his art, and upon his death he bequeathed over 20,000 works to the British state.
