This book tries to answer some type questions: Is there one or more than one or no value profile that currently characterizes from the perspective of the spiritual world the social actors in the post-communist Albanian society? If there is one, which is this kind of value profile, of survival one or of self-afirmation? Answers given in the book are based on a series of surveys carried out in the period 1998-2013 with the Albanian electorate across the country or in Tirana city. Some of the surveys were part of experimental type studies that intended to give an empirical answer to the question of what kind of nature has the value profile of the current Albanian actors. Experimental studies have been conducted mainly in the dimension of values named by Ronald Inglehart as the "survival / self-afirmation" and only one was performed in another dimension values "traditional / secular-rational". As acceptable results we have the unitary model for the value profile and it is of the "survival" ("materialistic") type. We have also concluded that there is a tendency to strengthen the character of survival, which inhibits the development of Albanian society and its European integration.
