This book is helpful to understand sources control of wet weather runoff by the application of low impact development (LID)concept in the form of underground bioretention system. Underground bioretention system is getting popularity specially in old urban town where pervious surface is limited. Bioretention system can be installed under the sidewalk, parking bay and within property line which enable to store certain percent of runoff of a design storm. Numbers of installation of bioretention system can possibly be reduced the risk of downstream flooding and erosion. This model can be applied to design the bioretention system of any size and can be adjusted for any depth depending on storm sewer manhole level.

Zulhash Uddin, Ph D, P.Eng, is Water and Wastewater Modelling Engineerof Regional Municipality of York, Ontario, Canada. Zulhash Uddin received his Ph D degree in Hydraulic Engineering from Iwate University,Japan. He also received M Sc in Civil Engineering Degree from Ryerson University, Canada.
