About the author










Alan Hall gained a degree in English at Durham University, and then qualified as a teacher. For the next 37 years he taught in a variety of comprehensive schools in West Yorkshire, finishing with nine years in Bradford. He has been the chair of the Bradford Civic Society since 2010 and is the author of The Story of Bradford.
