The book is an attempt to explore the ideas of Ku Hung-Ming from China from a primordial point of departure. He was a great intellectual but less known in global sociology circle. Here we have attempted to rediscover his legacy in a global context for sociologists and all students of humanities. His critiques against rationality of eurocentric nature and his fourfold categorizations of rationality is one of the most amazing stories of world sociology which needs to be explored. Although Ku occupies a very significant position in the history of ideas in China but his intellectual importance has not been yet discovered outside China. Miri's work is a unique contribution to the field of comparative sociology and philosophy.
