About the author

Francis Durbridge, 1912 in England geboren, veröffentlichte seine Krimis zum Teil unter seinem richtigen Namen, zum Teil aber auch in Zusammenarbeit mit James D. R. McConnell unter dem Pseudonym Paul Temple. Dies ist auch der Name von Durbridges erstem Detektiv, der zum Held mehrerer Spielfilme geworden ist. Später erschuf Durbridge noch eine weitere Detektivfigur, die in die Geschichte des Kriminalromans eingehen sollte: Tim Frazer. Durbridge wurde in Deutschland durch spektakuläre Fortsetzungskrimis berühmt. Er starb im April 1998. §
