About the author

Dorothée de Monfreid, geboren 1973 in Paris, entwickelte bereits mit elf Jahren eine von ihr eigenhändig illustrierte Monatszeitschrift: Der geschwätzige Vogel. Dann begann sie Portraits all ihrer Freunde zu zeichnen, verrückte Geschichten zu schreiben und unzählige Buchideen auszubrüten. Später wurde sie Illustratorin und Autorin, und ihre Bilderbücher handeln nun von Katzen, Hasen, Elefanten, stinkenden Monstern und sogar von Kuchen.
