L'anecdote proustienne : enjeux narratifs et esthétiques

Il y a dans la Recherche un véritable fief anecdotique qui n'a jusqu'ici fait l'objet que d'études ponctuelles. Or l'anecdote structure le récit et recouvre des enjeux qui dépassent l'assise locale de son inscription. Le romancier procède en effet à une « mise en anecdote » quasi systématique du matériau narratif renouvelant ce faisant tant la forme romanesque que celle du microrécit. Les trois procédures ici étudiées, à savoir l'anecdotisation du matériau biographique, la mise en série d'anecdotes et l'anecdotisation du matériau historiographique, jettent une nouvelle lumière sur la construction du personnage, sur la disposition romanesque et sur la manière dont Proust indexe son récit au discours social de l'époque.
